Kebbi State Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has said that the recent change of leadership at the Kebbi State House of Assembly is “a normal democratic process.”
The Kebbi State House of Assembly recently impeached its speaker, Isma’il Kamb, and his deputy, Muhammadu Aliyu, at the plenary sitting.
In his reaction via a statement made available by Media Aide, Yahaya Sarki, the Kebbi State Governor said he appreciated the incident as part of democratic tenets where the majority of the members of the Kebbi State House of Assembly exercised their constitutional rights of the choice of their own leaders.
He further wished the new leaders more purpose, more unity so that they can serve the people of Kebbi State together.
