The Imo State Independent Electoral Commission (ISIEC) have been directed to commence the process of conducting the Local Government Elections in the State in order to set the third tier of Government functional.
Governor Hope Uzodimma disclosed this today while addressing the congregation after Sunday Mass at the Government House Chapel.
The Governor stated that the continued support his administration has received from the people remains valued and with commitment, the Shared Prosperity administration is dedicated to the delivery of good governance to the people of Imo State.
According to him, the institution of the 3rd tier of Government would help to crystallize development at the grassroot level and offer more inclusiveness to the people.
By this expository, the people of Imo State are advised to get ready to exercise their franchise in electing their leaders at the Local Government levels.
