Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State paid host to Vice-President Yemi Osibanjo during the commissioning of the Police Special Protection Unit in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital.
The police Base 6 was built by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and isa situated at Omagwa in Ikwerre Local Government Area of the oil-rich state.
Also in attendance at the commissioning were the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio, the Inspector General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, among other top government officials and security operatives.
